An explosion of ideas!

This piece represents an agile squad called Bridge. The direction was:
“We would like a bridge that connects any countries (including UK, Oz, India, Vietnam, China, Austria, Ireland) plus a nice smiley face and a pint of beer !!! Or something like that !”

The directive for “Spartan” was to create piece for an agile squad called “Spartan” that reflected:
Looking back I think I could have done better with the colour coding and the line work.

Mercury is the winged messenger of the gods from Greek and Roman mythology. This is the third piece in my five part series for OnePath. It represents an agile squad called Mercury. They are responsible for correspondence and want to bring customers out of the dark ages and into the digital world of the 21st century. The hardest part for me for this piece was grading the darkness into light.

During the school holidays I did the Contemporary Drawing Projects Workshop at the National Art School. The teachers were really good and we did a lot of different activities. They taught me a range of techniques and reinforced fundamentals that helped my drawing practice. They took us to the gallery where we could view and appreciate artwork in an exhibition, I got a lot of inspiration from this.
One of the projects was to use the influence and interpretation of the artwork in the gallery to draw a piece. Below is what I drew for one of the projects that I call “Reach”.

This is the last piece of a manga-influenced series that I did for OnePath. It represents an agile squad called “Eclipse”. The most difficult part of this art work for me was capturing a realistic looking crescent-shaped moon.
